After two rounds of competition on Saturday January 11, 2014 the Knights were in 7th place at the Conner Invitational in Kentucky. The third round provided a huge comeback for the Knights with advancing a wrestler into the placement round of all but two weight classes. The Knights continued to wrestle well in the final round and came away with the championship! The Knights had one champion which was Junior Brandon Manning (152) who pinned all of his opponents. Sophomore Nathan Boggs (126) finished runner up. Eight wrestlers finished the day with a third place medal which were Freshman Cainan Schaefer (106), Senior Zak Brown (113), Sophomore Josh Hines (120), Senior Caleb Robbins (138), Junior Daemon Lane (145), Senior Kerry Raab (160), Senior Brad Brunner (220), and Sophomore Sam Smith (HWT). Senior Dalton Cisco finished with a 4th place medal. The Knights hope to continue their success with an upcoming duel against conference rival Franklin County on Wednesday January 15, 2014.
