The Lady Knights played rival Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers on Thursday.
The Lady Knights got off to a very good start in this one. Brooke Huddleston scored a quick 5 points in the first minute of the game to give the Lady Knights a 5-0 advantage. The Lady Tigers responded however to end the 1st quarter up 19-10.
The second quarter was back and forth. The Lady Knights closed the gap to 23-22 with about 1:30 left to go before halftime, but the Lady Tigers again responded with (2) 3 point goals to take a 29-22 lead into halftime.
The second half saw the same kind of action. The Lady Knights would pull within two 44-46 with about 3:30 left in the game, but missed several opportunities to tie or take the lead. The Lady Tigers finished the game with 4 free throws and a couple of baskets to take the game 57-47.
The Lady Knights were led in scoring by Britney Beil with 12. Alyssa McClanahan and Brooke Huddleston each had 11. The Lady Knights also got a spark from Danielle Clark who finished with a season high 9 points.
In Junior Varsity action the Lady Knights avenged a earlier loss to the Lady Tigers by a score of 45-29. Leading the way for the Lady Knights was Riley Ampt with 13 and Grace Quinlan with 9.
