Boys Varsity Wrestling · Hall punches ticket to State at Bankers Life

Six South Dearborn wrestlers advanced to Semi-State at New Castle High School.  Saturday, February 10th, was the day they’d worked for as they tried to punch their ticket to State.

Five of the wrestlers made it through the first round with wins.  Freshman – Eli Otto (106)  and Bryer Hall (126), Junior – Zach Otto (145), Seniors- Luke Utterback (195) and Garrett Walton (138).

Hall made it through the second round with a win to punch his ticket to State.  The freshman battled it out in his 3rd match beating out the #3 ranked wrestler at 126lbs and 2017 State Champ, Viduya. In the finals, Bryer would fall short of the win against Senior and State placer Ethan Smiley.  Hall is Semi-State runner-up and he will be headed to wrestle at the IHSAA State Finals February 16th.  The Parade of Champs begins at 6:00 pm.

Hall is the 21st State qualifier from South Dearborn.
