Knights News · Knights Football Youth Camp

Another successful Knights Football Youth Camp is in the books. The 2018 Youth Camp was a lot of fun for over 65 campers in grades 1-6 this past week. All the kids were able to participate in the Punt-Pass-Kick competition and each grade had a winner that will be our honorary captains at our first home game on Friday August 17th and will lead us out of the tunnel before we face Seymour. Coach Rand Ballart and his staff along with about 40 players put all the kids through many football related skills and drills over the 4-day camp held here on the South Dearborn High School Football Complex. We would like to thank our high school football coaches, players and managers for making this week a success. The camp ended with a popsicle feast and a special visit from former Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals professional football player Frosty Rutger. Frosty talked to the kids about doing the right thing all the time, doing well in school, listening to your coaches and helping to stop the bullying epidemic in our schools. He stayed after to take pictures, talk to the high school players and sign autographs. Thanks to everyone who made this a successful camp and a special thanks to Casey Roberts at Impact Sports for sponsoring and making our camp t-shirts.
