Boys Varsity Wrestling · Knights Wrestling Battled Hard at Warren Central Last Night!

After  last year’s Triple Crown season, several to semi-state, and Bryer Hall’s 6th place at state, Coach Gardner made the decision to beef up the schedule to the toughest in school history. Taking on the states best, week in and week out, should make veterans out of a young lineup that starts 10 of 14 freshmen and sophomores. Wednesday, December 12th, was the most challenging so far with the Knights traveling to Warren Central high school for a dual meet. The David and Goliath match-up pitted the Knights with a student body of 850 students to Warren Central’s 5000. SD gave it their all and gained much valuable experience in the loss. (73-6)

Isaiah Otto gutted out the win at 106 lbs. The big match of the evening resulted in a 4-3 squeaker by Bryer Hall, as he outlasted senior, Antwaun Graves, who is presently Ranked #2 in Indiana at 145 lbs. Next up for SD is an 8 team meat grinder at Columbus East this Saturday the 15th. Columbus East placed in the top 3 in the state last year.   Start time is 9:00 am.
