On Friday, December 6th, the South Dearborn Boys Basketball Program and the South Dearborn Athletic Department will recognize Mr. Bob Strautman (current scorekeeper for the Boys and Girls Basketball teams), for his over 48 years of service to the youth of Dearborn County.  Mr. Strautman has been the the official scorekeeper to the Knights and Lady Knights for 20 years.

“Strauty”, as he is known to everyone, is a 1955 graduate of Aurora High School, and was the Athletic Director for St. Mary’s from 1972-2018 and helped start all of the sports programs at the school.  His favorite SD memory is watching his son’s team beat Lawrenceburg in 1980 to win the Knights first Sectional Championship in the school’s history.

He married  his late wife, Chrissy Strautman, in 1958 and they have four kids together (John, Brian, Laurie, and Chris).  He also has five grand kids.

Come out Friday night in between the Junior Varsity and Varsity games to help us show our appreciation to Bob “Strauty” Strautman.
