CC Boys Win 3rd Straight Sectional Title

The South Dearborn boys’ cross country team dominated the 12-school field for the third consecutive year to earn another Sectional title Tuesday night.  SD’s Joe Rector was runner-up in the race, finishing with a sub-17 time for the first time in his career (16:55). The pairings for the IHSAA football and volleyball sectionals have been announced. The SD football team will open sectional action by traveling back to Connersville on October 19 for a 7:00 pm start. The SD Lady Knights’ soccer team could not have given a better effort in the showdown finale of the IHSAA 2A Sectional against East Central Monday night. The SD Junior Varsity Volleyball team placed 5th in the EIAC tourney on Saturday. SD dropped games to Lawrenceburg (13-25, 15-25) and Greensburg (22-25, 18-25) and defeated Franklin County (25-19, 25-24). Good job, Lady Knights.
